There is no such thing as a pain-free life. To get something worth having, you have to be willing to pay a price. Our Lord and Savior Jesus gave up his life and reminded us that in this world we will have trouble, but we should take heart because he overcame the world. "Taking heart" is an open invitation from God for us to persevere, enduring the things that life throws at us while standing firm in our knowing. "In all things God works for the good of those who love him and who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

Dear Abba,
Please help us to stop drifting in the sea of uncertainty. Help us to be anchored in you and the knowledge that according to Izaiah 48:17 You know what's best for us and you will lead us in the way that we should follow. Help us to tap into the strength that lives inside of us and to live the lives that you created us to live.
