The art of letting go is truly an art
No one wakes up in the morning declaring that they want to let go of the very things and people who they believe are essential in their lives.
However, I am grappling daily with the fact that letting go helps us to unpack the many layers of our lives that we store away because we are attending to too many things and too many people.
Covid-19 pushed us into a space where we had to attend to ourselves first. We had to put on your oxygen mask and save ourselves. We had to reflect on the parts of our lives that we've been neglecting due to the everyday expectations that are fastened to our lives.
Over the past few months, I decluttered my house and my mind and I realized that I was holding on to so much and I really needed to let go.
Letting go gave me clarity, focus, and a newfound hope in myself and the purpose that God has on my life. I can hear my own thoughts now, no need to filter through the advice of the world. It just truly a great place to be in. By letting go I received a promise too, "the things and the people who are supposed to be in this season of my life will find me!!!"

Changing the Past
The past is the past for a reason
That is where it is supposed to stay
But some cannot let it go
In their heads it eats away
Until all their focus becomes
The person that they used to be
The mistakes they made in their life
Oh, if only they could see
That you cannot change what happened
No matter how hard you try
No matter how much you think about it
No matter how much you cry
What happens in your lifetime
Happens for reasons unknown
So you have to let the cards unfold
Let your story be shown
Don't get wrapped up in the negative
Be happy with what you have been given
Live for today not tomorrow
Get up, get out and start living
Because the past is the past for a reason
It's been and now it is gone
So stop trying to think of ways to fix it
It's done, it's unchangeable, move on
Time to Write- Questions of the day
1. What are you holding on to today that is preventing you from living the best life you can live?
2. Why is letting go the best revenge you can have in your life?
3. Identify some things and people that you will have to let go of in order to enter into the next level of your life. For each thing and person explain why that decision was made?
