12/16/2023 11 Comments Breathe!!!Deepassionate1 Speaks Breathe, Dee, breathe. Breathe deeply and let the Ruach breath of God bring in the hope to restore your soul. It is so much easier to walk away when life isn't going the way you've envisioned, but here I am, standing in this garden, asking myself, are there still unseen possibilities here? I've been praying and pressing through some things lately, and I didn't realize how long I've been holding my breath. It wasn't until I broke down at work that I understood the depth of my disconnection. I've been following the rituals and routines of my life, and my heart was taking notes. We can't fool our hearts with the lies we tell our minds to keep going. The heart knows when we are sad, annoyed, irritated, disappointed, and need a reset. Our emotions and feelings are valid and need to be acknowledged and attended to so our souls can thrive, but soul care, though necessary, is challenging. When was the last time you listened to your heart? My heart wants to feel safe. It wants me to learn how to be still amid life's flow. My heart wants me to listen to it while honoring its need to be cared for. Questions Worth Answering

Hello Deepassionate1, I'm not sure if this will make sense to anyone, but in reflecting on what I've learned in 2023 and how it's shaping my outlook for 2024, I've come to understand that although my Dad wasn't actively involved in my life, he never truly left me. His absence wasn't a lack of love, but rather his struggle to find positive ways to be present for himself. The narratives I've crafted about why he wasn't there can't capture the truth – that he might have been in our lives if he knew how or had been taught. My Dad, whom I've awaited all my life, may have been waiting for me too. Perhaps the love he needed is something I can now offer – a love free from perfection, conditions, or requirements. As I step into 2024, I do so with confidence, recognizing that while it would have been wonderful to have a present Dad, I've always had a Father in Heaven watching over me. Now, everything I do for the world can be influenced by the unconditional love I can gift to a man whose presence I've never known.

That is the truth . To love someone , is to see that picture in a face to face relationship . What am I saying, it must be seen in a caring and continuous way. How could u give anything to someone ,if you never had that gift?

so important to discern between the heart and the mind. The fool, said, “ in his heart,” there is no God. That is somewhere in psalms. And come to think of it, the heart is like a drum. It beats. The rhythm of our life. The drums of war. Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes, “There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war…”. That verse makes me think of life itself as a war, and our heart is the drum we marched to, or at least the drum we ought to march to. These questions are challenge. Where we challenge ourselves. a push to the higher calling. I’m in.

This is a great reflection.
It is in the moments of breathing that we realize we weren’t breathing at all. Then we begin to gasp to make up for lost air and lost time. But we get lightheaded. Our vision gets blurry and it is difficult to steady ourselves. Although I haven’t kept up with my writer’s notebooks like I used to, I’ve used my camera to capture the moments of my chaos and of myself as I existed with bated breath. And when I finally took the time to stop and look back at the pictures I have taken, I am awed by the transformation in my life. I am literally a different person. Dee!
