What do you mean I'm not perfect?

Picture
I felt proud of myself as I completed my daily workout three days in a row, and then, like a tidal wave, it hit me. I felt a pain cascading through my chest.
Did I eat too ferociously after working out? Was it gas? Or did my fiber capsule get stuck in my chest?
I panicked and did what I knew best.
I prayed. "God, what is wrong with me?
Please help me."
When the pain didn't subside, I sought the sympathy of my Serenity while lying in bed. She offered to make me tea, but I decided I wanted to try to sleep instead.

My nap took me to a place of rest, which woke me up with an answer for my pain. First, I got a reminder that my body wasn't perfect. :) Then, the memory of my childhood nemesis came back to my mind—or should I say, it came back to my chest. Costochondritis is "
a benign cause of chest wall pain resulting from inflammation of the costal cartilage, which connects the ribs to the sternum."

Guess what triggers it?

Rigorous EXERCISE:((((( The vision of me getting my last bent over Rear Deltoid Fly, it stung me, releasing the inflammation that I was feeling in my chest. I jumped up, grabbed my phone, and called "Google." "How can I relieve the pain of my Costochondritis?"
An instantaneous answer descended from above and informed me that heat or cold compress would bring me sweet relief. I whipped out my heating pad and placed it gingerly on my chest. Within 5 minutes, I felt the pain evaporating from my chest cavity. I was healed and armed with the remedy for tomorrow's

workout!

Turning 45 was a gift! My body is a gift! An imperfect one, but still a gift!
I am committed to becoming stronger and wiser in this season.

Please share this with someone who might enjoy reading this excerpt from "This season" of my life.
