Where I come from

Where I come from

I come from a long line of pretenders
A long line of people pleasers
And I find myself working overtime daily not to be a pretending people pleaser:)
I come from a tree that wants to bear fruit but bends easily because of its weary roots.
I come from a long line of "Do what I say and not what I do." 
And don't forget to pray because God is watching you.
I come from a line of dreamers who aren't ready to put in the work.

I am waiting patiently for my turn to leave the place where I come from.
